Mark 16, 15-16 - Then He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. HCSB
A couple of years ago I finally gave my life to Jesus. It was the greatest day of my life. The slow process of the Holy Spirit remaking me has not only yielded happiness and contentment for me, but my gradually movement toward a more Christ like attitude and life has impacted all those around me. What I used to see as self-control or self-depredation has turned out to be blessings. Now, with the positive impact I have experienced why would I not proclaim the virtues of Jesus to everyone I see? This is a mystery. It is only in the last year that I have started freely sharing my faith with people other than friends and family. At first it was hard and scary for some reason but when I over came that fear and spoke freely about my relationship with Jesus and all he means to me to an acquaintance I felt a burden lift off of me. I no longer define myself by my job or status but as a Christian. So I challenge everyone if you don't already live with your faith on your sleeve to start off the new year that way. Tell someone you know that you have gave your life to Jesus. It will not only give glory to God but it will also motivate you to think about what you do and say in life since you will be representing our faith. God Bless

This is one challenge I would like to see lived out in my life. I am often looking for ways to move a conversation toward sharing. It often seems like people have buffer pads around their minds and souls. After a brief comment it get something like, "Okay, how about them Dodgers?" It is like trying to get two magnets to join on the north end.
On the other hand I can think of a few times in my life where people have moved right into repentance and faith. It was almost like they were waiting for someone to say something.
I pray the Holy Spirit will prepare their hearts and loosen my mouth.
Thanks for the reminder.
Have a blessed sharing new year.
Grace and peace.
