Positive Thoughts.

This should probably be taped
to your bathroom mirror
where one could read it every day..
You may not realize it,
but it's 100% true.

1. There are at least two people in this world
that you would die for.

2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.

3. The onlyreason anyone would ever hate you
is because they want to be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't like you.

5. Every night,
SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. You are special and unique.

8.       Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.

10. When you think the world
has turned its back on you
take another look.

11. Always remember the compliments you received..
Forget about the rude  remarks.

And always remember...

Good friends are like stars.........
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there..

"Whenever God Closes One Door He Always Opens Another, Even Though
Sometimes It's Hell in the Hallway"

I would rather have one rose and a kind word
from a friend while I'm here
than a whole truck load when I'm gone..

Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only
God keeps You       Going
'Worry looks around, sorry looks back, Faith looks up.'

Have faith..

Best Breakfast in Corryton

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is just a reminder from the UMM about the BBC, Best Breakfast in Corryton, is this coming Saturday at 8 am.  For the low low price of $4.00, you can get all you can eat of eggs, taters, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, fruit, OJ, coffee, milk and special this week is fried baloney,  compliments of Bill Walker.  Nowhere can you get a bargain like that.  It even beats Krystal's senior breakfast. So ladies, run those men out of the house, or better than that, join them.  Bring a friend or neighbor.
Good Food, Good Fellowship.

GOD IS GOOD.

Closet Christian

We have all heard of a homosexual being in the closet.  This is caused by a fear of what society will say or do to them if  their sexual preference were to be known.  This fear is subsiding and western society is now embracing homosexuals making the phrase "closet homosexual" less common.  However it seems to be more common to meet closet Christians nowadays.  I can't count the times I have heard Christians say they didn't share their faith because they did not want to be pushy.  Christians today are very comfortable bragging about the buck they shot or the truck they rebuilt, but their knees go weak when you mention sharing the Gospel.  We all do not have to become street evangelists, but we should all wear our grace filled, loving Christianity on our sleeves.  That buck was killed by the grace of God. God gave you the patience to finish rebuilding that engine. Everything in our world has something to do with God so lets start talking about Him to all the people who don't know His saving Grace.  Let's come out of the closet and proclaim Christ as King of our lives.

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1. EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK .

2. YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.

3. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.

4. IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.

5. TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly  sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the                         purpose which you were born to accomplish.  Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.

Senior version of Jesus Loves Me

92 YEAR OLD PREACHER
While watching a  little TV on Sunday instead of going  to church, I watched a church in Atlanta honoring one of its senior  pastors who had been retired many years. He was 92 at that time and I  wondered why the church even bothered to ask the old gentleman to  preach at that age.  After a warm welcome, introduction of this  speaker, and as the applause quieted down, he rose from his high back  chair and walked slowly, with great effort and a sliding gait to the  podium. Without a note or written paper of any kind he placed both  hands on the pulpit to steady himself and then quietly and slowly he  began to speak....
"When I was asked to come here today and  talk to you, your pastor asked me to tell you what was the greatest  lesson ever learned in my 50-odd years of preaching. I thought about  it for a few days and boiled it down to just one thing that made the  most difference in my life and sustained me through all my trials...  The one thing that I could always rely on when tears and heartbreak  and pain and fear and sorrow paralyzed me...
The only thing that  would comfort me was this verse.........
"Jesus loves me this I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to Him belong,
We are weak but He is strong.....
Yes, Jesus loves me....
The Bible tells me so."
The old pastor stated, "I  always noticed that it was the adults who chose that hymn,  'Jesus Loves Me,' during a hymn sing, and it was the adults who sang the loudest because I could see they knew it the best."
"Here for you now is a Senior version of Jesus Loves Me":
JESUS LOVES ME
Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.
(CHORUS)
YES, JESUS LOVES  ME.. YES, JESUS LOVES ME..
YES, JESUS LOVES ME, FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.
Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.
(CHORUS)
When the nights are dark and  long,
In my heart He puts a song..
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."
(CHORUS)
When my  work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He  will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love.
(CHORUS)
I love Jesus, does He know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.
(CHORUS)

God Bless Us All
