The Bathtub Test

During a visit to my doctor, I asked him, "How do you determine whether
or not an older person should be put in an old age home?"
"Well," he said, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a
teacup and a bucket to the person to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket
because it is bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" he said. "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed
near the window?"

Judging God

"Don't judge God based on your understanding of people.  God isn't just a really good guy up in the sky.  He is GOD.  He operates on an entirely different set of rules.  We'll never deserve His love, but He knows that, and He's chosen to love us anyway.  We can accept it or not.  But that doesn't change who He is.  He's a God who loves us more than we can imagine and desires to fulfill the dreams He gives His children."

God Breathed

By Raymond A. Foss

Before Christ lived on the earth God breathed and the Word was born

The Word of God breathed into life just as His breath gave us life

Holy Scripture, the instruction manual, the mystery, the history, the teachings,

the prophesy, all there created by God. The hand of man merely the Amanuensis

the writing hand of theat which already existed when God breathed  the Word

into being.
